“Rugby Line Up” reinforces the Suffixing Rule 1, the doubling rule and Suffixing Rule 2, the lazy “e” rule. When a word ends in lengthening “e”, drop it before adding the ending if the suffix begins with a vowel. Players need to be able to identify the root word and know how to add the vowel suffix to make the new word.
